Wines Horizon

A shared conviction.

From Paris to the estates, from the estates to their markets: a story of connections and complementary skills.

A shared conviction.

Winegrowers, not brands.

Wines Horizon is a trading and export house working directly with family properties. Our method begins on site: walking the vineyards, visiting the cellar, tasting the wines and comparing declared practices with the information available. Six criteria guide selection: a family and a place; a biodynamic approach for new partners; careful winemaking; a commitment to quality; an expression that enriches the portfolio; and a lasting relationship. Declared practices and certification remain distinct: not every existing estate is biodynamically certified. The selection is intended to grow through the same visits, tastings and checks. Each estate brings something different: Meunier from the Marne Valley, Bouzy Pinot Noir, the varied expressions of Saint-Émilion or the diversity of Entre-Deux-Mers. Our role is to connect these identities with professional needs in France and internationally.

Drink less,

Knowing a wine’s origin, the people who make it and how they work gives our selection its purpose. A diversity of styles helps build a coherent wine list without multiplying interchangeable references. Four ideas guide our reading of the portfolio: Discovery for approachable wines; Signature for an estate’s individual expression; Fine Wines for terroir-led cuvées and gastronomy; Rarities for single parcels, editions and limited allocations. The team confirms availability for each reference.

The vineyard as a living whole.

Biodynamic winegrowing considers the estate as a whole: soils, vines, animals and landscapes are interconnected. Compost, plant diversity and specific preparations play a part in an approach rooted in organic farming. Some work follows seasonal rhythms and calendars associated with the practice. Practising biodynamics is not the same as being certified. Private labels such as Demeter and Biodyvin rely on standards and inspections. Organic certification, conversion in progress and declared practices must remain distinct. With Demeter, vineyard certification alone does not certify every wine: winemaking is also covered by its standards. Wines Horizon selects estates engaged in these approaches without assigning the same status to all their wines. We specify documented information for each estate. Wines Horizon is not itself a certified wine estate. This approach is neither a health claim nor an absolute guarantee of quality.
